Most of our work is retained headhunting. Clients work with us due to our track record, integrity and the fact they know we are reliable and discreet. This is our senior level service line and enables us to develop a close working relationship with clients. Much of our work is repeat business or referrals.
Some firms do not use executive search. We are still happy to discuss senior level recruitment with you on a non retained basis but we do ask for a period of exclusivity at Partner level. We may also from time to time introduce candidates to clients where we see a cultural and business 'fit' and a mutual benefit.
We work with both clients and candidates on a consultancy basis. For clients this may be a project such as named approaches or help with a specific project or even a temporary secondment to your offices. For candidates it is a one to one non agency discreet recruitment service to help you secure the best role in the market.
We are sometimes asked by clients to map out certain practice areas in the market or a potential team at a competitor. We charge set fees for this, however, if this proceeds to an executive search project then we will off-set our research fees from our final recruitment fee.
This is a service we offer to new clients who have never worked with us before, to try our services on a results driven basis in return for exclusivity. We also offer this service to our established clients on an exclusivity basis when they are struggling to find the right mid level associate in certain practice areas from agencies.
Lexical offers in depth expertise in legal recruitment both nationally and internationally. We were established in 2009, by Sarah Baxter our Managing Director, with a view to offering bespoke recruitment solutions to clients and candidates backed up by a consultancy service.
Sarah qualified as a lawyer in London in 1994 and has worked in recruitment since 1998 in London, New York, Hong Kong and Edinburgh at bespoke search firms and Plcs recruiting for both in-house and private practice clients at senior level. She is a Fellow of The Recruitment & Employment Confederation and holds their certificate in recruitment practice.
Most of our clients have been with us for many years and know we have a strong network of both candidates and potential candidates.
